Intermediate Glaze

Glazes with a maturation temperature of between 1900 and 2200 F. Because of the large range of intermediate glazes available, not all of them are interchangeable. Within this range, a piece obtained with a good matching clay body and glaze may be as suitable and long-lasting as high-fire ceramics, although they are more colorful.
