Pottery

Even though the word “pottery” is commonly used in the same context as the word “ceramics”, it also has its distinct differences. While the term ceramics covers anything that is made of clay and uses heat, pottery is specifically about objects that can be used as containers. For example, teapots, cups, bowls, vases and planters are all examples of potteries.
