Clay
An inorganic material that occurs naturally and is made up of extremely tiny “plate-like” particles. When these particles are lubricated with water, they may slide past one other with relative ease. This property, known as “plasticity” or “workability,” is what distinguishes clay from other materials.
Clay with finer particles is claimed to be more pliable than clay with coarser particles, although it shrinks more after drying and burning. Clay is classified according to its size, color, chemical composition, and purity.
